Quick and dirty way- instead of "quick reply", use "go advanced". You'll see a "thread subscription notification type" box below the reply window. Select "do not subscribe" from the drop down menu and you won't get the email notifications.

I think you can go in your user CP and set the default to "do not subscribe" or "no email notification" and get rid of them.

Couple boards I'm on default you to instant notification, and one of them I can't change it so I have to remember to go in advanced reply on those.

 

I just looked at your profile, and you have to edit your automatic thread subscription.

You have it set to notify you via e-mail every time a thread that you are subscribed to, is updated.

Edit your profile, and it should stop.
