How to delete threads.

I posted two threads in "parts wanted", one on Feb 5th, another on Feb 15th.
Now they are redundant as I have found all I want except one item, now I would like to delete them. I tried following the advice in a similar thread but couldn't figure it out. Ok I 'fess up to being a cyber moron.
I hope a moderator can help me out on this one please.
Thanks in anticipation,
rustyroger

You can use a small round file for the insides of bolts or tapped holes and a flat file to delete the threads on bolts and screws.

If the bolt is rare or an odd size, the threads will delete themselves just before you need to use the bolt. ---bil

With 2 threads to be deleted is that like cross threading because I hate that when it happens.

Would you use a 'thread chaser' for this? Just use it backwards! ---bil

I go through the whole section about once or twice a month.

The FASTEST way is to edit your message, and erase all your words and type DELETE.

Then I don't even have to open the thread to know it has to be deleted...... there is a little gray pop up bubble that shows me the first few words of every thread before I open it.
