What is up with CO?

Going down, timing out etc. more and more. Is it run on a P11 with dial-up?

I don't know alot about computers, but I can add that it has been taking longer and longer to load pages here at CO.

I know it's not my computer because this is the only site I have noticed this problem. All other sites I visit are working just like they always have.

Same here. It will routinely take 2-3 minutes to load new posts here at the house, and sometimes requires a couple of stop/refresh cycles to get anywhere. Even on dialup out here in the sticks other sites are lightning quick, comparatively speaking.

It's somewhat quicker on the T1 connection at work, but still slower than most sites, and the corporate phishing filters dig deep on CO. I think it has something to do with the ad banners at the top of the page. Those will load and cycle quickly while I wait (and wait, and wait) for the page to load.

But all good things come to those who wait!

ah ok, I fergot it is run by Internet Brands.

And to think I was considering going to offer selling my website to them. No thanks... it would be a disgrace.

I had issues with it yesterday, too. This AM, it is fine.
It comes and goes like the wind, except in TX where it is 30mph every day...
Every website has its issues...

I have been logging-in on Firefox on a MacBook Pro outside a library in Florida and have not experienced any problem at all.

Issues here, too. Coming from central IN via RoadRunner. Looks like it may be some sort of flaky DNS issue. Basic initial page famework will draw, but then pops an error when trying to load up the various pics/banners and complete the page.

It is sporadic, but seems to be getting worse over the last few weeks.

Other sites are fine for me...and my slower machines seem to be more tolerant of the issue(s) on CO.

Now, if we could get all of the CO info to load before all of the ads....

yahoo was giving a whole bunch of issues yesterday when CO was fine.
No site is perfectly stable from what i have seen. Even our own internal company site craps out now and then (and we are in that industry!)

Been fine here, except one day last week when I hit the "new posts" tab, and got a pop-up instead.

Occasionally it won't load for me and I to use Firefox. Then sometimes it takes too long to reload after posting, so I have to click the link in my favorites tab for it to load with no issues.

Seriously though, I find the the CO site is inconsistent for bringing the site up. I also know it's not my computer. Could be the service provider to.
