Explain. You can't see the emoticons? You click but nothing happens? Are you using the correct batch? For in-post smilies use the batch to the right of your text box, not the ones underneath.
Hope this helps

Thumbs up They work for me

Are you using the 'Go Advanced' tab to go where the smilies live on this site?

Good catch Allan. If you quote a previous post it automatically takes you to the advanced area which contains the emoticons.

Doesn't seem to make any difference whether I'm replying or an original post . Yes I am trying to use the emoticons to the right, I click on them but no worky. Also clicking on the button to the left will bring up the latest non-read post but the cursor will not move the page up or down. If I go in clicking on the last page things work OK?? I'm using Bing for a search engine if that makes a difference.

I'm a bit confused by all of this, but it sounds like something isn't right with your browser.

Which browser are you using?
Have you tried others, such as Firefox, Chrome, or Opera?

Bottom line: it's faster and easier to just type the code characters than clicking on an emoticon, so,
Code:
:)
= ,
Code:
:D
= ,
Code:
= ,
Code:
= , etc.

When in "Go Advanced" mode, you don't have the "Disable Smilies in Text" box checked, do you?

I have the same problem. I've gotten around it by right clicking on the Smilie, copying the property, and enclosing it in image tags. It's a PIA, but it works:

I don't have your second problem. I would go in and clear the cookies, history, etc and try again.

It sounds like a plug-in isn't working. I use chrome and have to occasionally update the flash plugin, etc. Try a different browser or a newer version.

I had to change the way I post them because they stopped working for me also . I use to just double click the one I wanted , and then for a short time I had to literally type the word in to get it to work . Now I can just drag it over lol
