So if I go look at pictures posted to the site. How do I figure out what post they are posted to?

 

I can't figure that. I can see who made it, but that's it.

 

Where specifically are you seeing these pictures?

I thought the gallery is from picture albums within members CP.

The 'Gallery' is an odd bedfellow. Images do not have to have been posted to a members Album. The DB engine pulls images from active threads. The most recently posted images in any thread are moved to the top of the 'Gallery' list. Therefore, when you click on the 'Gallery' you will see the most recently posted image, followed by the next most recently posted image(s) from a different CO member. One image pulled from any one member only.

There is a trick to establishing where the image was posted, since as you've stated it's nearly impossible to find where the image was posted. It's cumbersome (ugly), but it works.

Go to the Gallery. Hover the mouse over any image in the Gallery. You will notice two pieces of information: (1) An hour clock which states the age of the image since it was posted e.g. 7h, 9h, 13h, etc. and (2) the CO member name who posted the image.
Next, go to the Search feature and Search on the CO member name. Having arrived at any post containing the CO member name, click on the member's name (as you normally would) and click on "Find More Posts by....[member name]". There you will find the most recent posts by the member who posted the image. Chances are the last post or the last several posts by that member will be the location where the image was posted by that member. Cumbersome, clunky & a real cluster....
