Hi,

I am not the most active on the site but this morning I get a screen telling me Error 1005, acess denied, when looking that up says my IP was banned, what the hell is this for, I am using express VPN and only after I turned it off was I allowed access.




Let me know what up as no idea why I was blocked or how to prevent in the future.

Looks like a phish from Cloudfire to me. Unless that is the security service you use.

 

There was a discussion a while ago about the site denying access when using a VPN. Apparently that's the way the site has been configured.

Been using this VPN for over a year, had it set to Chicago, now Miami and still get the error as of today otherwise worked fine previously, not like this is going to encourage me or others who get this same error to visit, either way good forum not sure what changed in security but is what it is....

I received a pm response back from IB and forgot to post this when Joe P. started a similar thread.

Quote "the VPN issue is out of our control. Many free VPNs, i know Norton and expressVPN are definitely affected; route their traffic via AWS which we have blocked at a network level for security reasons. The answer is to disable the VPN, we are not able to support connections via a VPN because they are essentially a black box between the member and our servers".

I'm familiar with that irritation, too.

Proton VPN with a Dallas gateway does not get that error message from classicolds.

But, other sites do have a problem similar to what you showed. However, I can usually find a gateway that will get through.

Yeah mine started working out of the blue so not sure why one time I get the error and next time fine wondering if it is also causing pictures not to show every now and then.
