JO Code T350 is 1969
I have a recollection of a thread on this subject but can't find it.
I know that in 1970 the JO code T350 was exclusive to the W-31. I also know that JO code T350s were used on the 1969 W-31 cars equipped with auto trans. My question is do we have documented proof that the JO code T350 was exclusive to the W-31 cars in 1969?
On the thread I mention above I thought I recalled a member posting that there had been some VIN matching JO code transmissions found in none W machines (I thought that it was Brian Trick who posted but I am unsure).
Please post if you can contribute to the thread.
Thanks in advance

In Brief
The JO in 69 and 70 IS exclusive to the W-31. This is supported by numerous factory literature/spec's.
Much like the W-30 Auto. being exclusive to them
What is not supported by any factory documentation whatsoever,is this trans making into any other car other than a W-31 from the factory.
The cover is easily removable with just a snap ring. All kinds of possibilities with this over 40 + years

This is the thread where the JO transmission is mentioned & found in non W-31 cars in 1970 but there is no mention of it not being exclusive to the W cars in 1969.

The Jan 1972 edition of the factory Parts Book shows trans assy P/N 6260147 as the TH350 for the 3200 and 3600 series with 350 engine and O.A.I. This is the only application for this P/N trans assembly.
Cleverly, while every other trans assembly listed in that parts book edition has the two letter code, this one does not, so THAT'S helpful...
Also, this edition neglects to list the TH350 for the 1970 W-31 cars. I was hoping to see if the trans assembly P/N was the same for both years. No, the 1970 listing is not on the next page that I didn't provide here.

Keep in mind, Just because it has the JO stamp don't necessarily mean it is a JO transmission. The servo cover is the only spot stamped and that can be swapped out to another transmission.
