1942 Olds 2 dr $1800 - this would be a major project if you're interested in restoration, OR, maybe just for the parts - not something I'd be wanting, but maybe someone here would be interested.

Rare car, but the 42s are the definition of "a face only a mother could love."

 

Actually if you see one in person, they are really a work of art. Beaty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

 

That would be a cool project. Too bad there isn't a title.

 

That's usually not really too much of a problem here in MT. If it's gone w/o registration long enough (I think it's 5 or 10 yrs.), OR you have a bill of sale, you just file for a lost title, and $10 and 30 days later you have a fresh new title. In the case of my '67 Kawasaki 125cc, they told me that the building that had all the titles had burned down, so they couldn't track down the original owner - they'd just issue a fresh new title in my name. Maybe the same with the 42 Olds ;>).

 

That's cool. I've heard many different things about cars without titles. I know it depends on your state. For me it's not worth seriously investigating a car without a title.
