Re a Black 442 with blue interior
I've been in the hobby a long time and as of today....never seen a blue interior onside a Ebony black car.
Black with white interior Ht's and convertibles
Black with black interior (most black cars have black interiors)
Black convertible with ( Gold interior) yes
not one to my knowledge anywhere * esp with documentation of Code 19 black with blue interior.
Only option .....paint a car black or buy a black car and change interior color to blue.

Not that this is related, but here's numbers on 1970 black Mustang fastbacks:
- 1,233 built
- 5 built with standard blue bucket
- 6 built with Mach I blue bucket
- 5 built with knitted blue bucket
Other available colors were black, white, Vermilion, Ginger, and Ivy Green, with the latter being the rarest of all in most cases.

Bens71442 - Your W31 looks great. Definitely like the white stripes though.
Alain - Don't give up the search. There must be a factory '70 black/blue 442 out there somewhere, though it might not be in the condition expected or have air conditioning.

just saw a 67 black and blue her in Chicago - just sold at auction in FLorida. I understand color preferences vary throughout time but I have no idea why more cars were not created in that color combo. I think its an awesome color. Good luck with the search. BTW before I bought my W30 i was looking for it or a GS455. Both awesome cars.

for sale & wanted

I linked your carsonline ad for your 1970 GS 455 on the V8Buick site. I see you did the same a few days later but in another section on there.
Good luck with the sale of that gorgeous Buick & your search for the next Oldsmobile.

I apologize in advance, if I am hijacking this thread, but I saw this color combination at a local car show today.
Not 1970, but 1971 442.
I really like this color combo. Car is paint code 19 with blue interior:

Thanks Texas442 for the photos of the '71 442. That must be one heck of a rare color combination for that year. Was not expecting the white stripes, would had thought blue stripes. Nice to see the cars out and about, up this way they are all tucked in for the winter - with ice, snow, and the death knell for classics, salt & sodium calcium, scattered about everywhere.

Just because you haven't seen it heard of one doesn't mean there were none made. I had a black with blue interior 70 W30 4spd back in 90,car was completely documented, window sticker, two broadcast cards and I purchased it from the original owner. Greg
