Just bought a 71 CS convertible.
I will be looking to fix a/c, upgrade alternator, ignition fuel system, and install FI. Just to name a few.

Welcome, much nicer looking than mine. What FI system are you looking at. Mark (cutlassfi) could help you, he has helped a lot of people on this board.

what part of the Hawkeye state are you in? I was born/educated/worked in Clinton before moving south 30+ year ago. Great car btw! Convertibles are boss!

Welcome. You will really enjoy your car. I have a 72 Cutlass convertible I have had for 23 years. It is time for a redo on it which is planned for next year. These are great cars and in my opinion some of the best looking of the A bodies.

We've had a '71 Cutlass convertible in the family since the summer of 1984. I had a lot of fun with that car in my younger years. I would have loved to have had it but Dad wanted it to go to my nephew, so I'm taking the '64 Dynamic 88 ragtop instead (very similar to the one in BTW's photo above but not in nearly as nice condition). It still hasn't come my way yet, but I've been waiting almost 40 years for it, so I guess I can hold out a little bit longer.
