Just for clarification, are these snap on or bolt on centers? Welcome to the site.

If they are aftermarket chrome wheels with the gold centers they are snap on caps.

I found that picture online but if they are new rims and painted gold that is what they look like. The aftermarket wheels were chrome with either black or gold centers. They were also available in 15x10. I'm pretty sure they are not available new anymore though in any size.

Correct. They stopped making the ones pictured three or four years ago.

I'm pretty sure McWheels was a manufacturer or supplier of these and also other sizes. Maybe they'll realize that there is still a market for these and they'll start producing them again......hint......hint

The wheel pictured was made by Specialty Wheel. I have a set of 15x7's on my H/O. I wanted to buy a pair of 15x8's to run 295/50's but as stated, they no longer make the SS3's. Maybe if there is enough demand, they'll start producing them again.

I picked up 2 repro 15x8's and one repro 15x7 last fall. They were like new. I spent all winter looking for a final repro 15x7 to complete the set. The backspacing is 1/4" different between the repro's and the originals so I didn't want to mix and match. I found three remaining new repro 15x7's at The Parts Place. When they were selling new they were $149 for 15x7's and you could get a set of four even less. The Parts Place wanted $349 each for them. I wouldn't buy a wing nut from those gougers............

I ended up buying a set of 4 very nice original 15x7's with tires, 275-60's, and 225-70's. They cost me $650 with delivery. I mounted the 275's on the 15x8's and kept two 15x7's and sold the other two.

If these were for sale when I was hunting I would have bought them. $200 each is a very fair price. I sent McWheel an email when I was searching and they said they didn't have an 15x7's and they were in the neighborhood of $350 each to custom make one. Specialty Wheel said about the same thing

This is a good price for these wheels, I had a set on my wagon but opted to build a set with bolt on centers. Based on the scarceness of the 15x10 shells with a correct inner dimension, I decided to keep the snap on center version. I would not sell mine for $400.

As of three months ago, I(McWheels) have 32 15 x 8 rim shells and 36 15 x 10 rim shells to make the SSIII wheels. All I need is a chromed 14 x 6 to cut apart. All rim shells are already chromed. 15 x 8s are $ 175 each. If you have chromed 6s, I deduct $25 off of each wheel. Turnaround is roughly 3 weeks! Food for thought for the Oldsmobile gear heads!!!!! 515-450-3446 if interested! Let's talk! Curt

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have 4 SSII centers already chromed just waiting for someone to tell me what size and back spacing they want. Not even painted yet! These are $25 more for each because of the caroming of the centers!

I would buy reproductions if they actually made them right. The ones wheels vintiques sold have the wrong hoop. The ones crooked Gbodyparts..com produced were wrong too. The hoop blanks they used were generic. They were not angled towards the center like the factory wheels. I didnt notice until i had one right next to my factory wheel. With that said the buick rallys on my 70 stage 1 and magnum 500s on my dads roadrunner are holding up nicely as far as the chrome.

I have 17" cragar SSs on my monte. Why cant some one make a viable olds rally 17" in steel to keep the cost down? The us mag wheels are nice but im not paying all the money for a wheel that i cant even get a tire for that has white letters.....hello GOODYEAR ..,wake up stupid..the muscle car crowd is dying for white letters in larger diameters.

wheels

Just putting this out there. My friend just had 2 15X7 and 2 15X8 SS1 rims made in LA,Ca. that looked great, the chrome was great too. But they called him from Goodyear tire to come down. They had a wabble up and down not side to side on the tire machine. The after market centers are off ever so much so he got 2 more sent and one passed the spin test, so now he has 3 good rims on tires so he sent the bad ones back. We think the Factory center should work on the big rims fine.

That is too much backspace for a stock g-body! That backspace is perfect for A-body cars!

So I'm curious about these 15" wheels. I have a spare set of SSII 14x6's, 5 total that have the stainless inserts and would like to price out a set of manufactured 15x8's for an a-body in black. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I called him yesterday and currently he is out of barrels but hoping to get more in soon. Told me to check back in a month or so. I guess I got lucky when I ordered mine back in October.
