Sport mirrors difference

Is there any difference between the sport mirrors across the GM brands for 70-72 years?

1970 Oldsmobile (only) sport mirrors

1971-72 mirrors

The rectangular mirrors use the same heads on all 1970s GMs, but the uprights vary in height and angle where they sit on the door. The 73-77 cars have taller uprights with a different base angle and when used on the earlier cars the mirror head is angled towards the side glass.

I've been told, but am not certain, that 71-72 mirrors are the same as 2nd Gen F-Bodies with a different mounting gasket (plastic thing) to change the angle.
I used one off a Camaro on my Cutlass when I had it for the passenger side

From the photos on line, that appears to be correct. I do know that the 73-77 A-body pedestals are taller.

Thanks guys. I have a pair that I thought were for Chevelle. According to my painter, they are not for Chevelle, he thought they might be for a Olds.
