I purchased this car 2 years ago in Georgia & it literally has no rust.
1970 Olds 455 engine, 1970 front clip & bumpers. Black exterior with brown interior. AT, PS, PDB (Front disc brakes), A/C, Alarm, PDL w/(2) key FOBS. New aftermarket in dash Tach. Odometer says 1,964 miles meaning it turned over. Pretty sure once.
Aluminum radiator, Edelbrock Intake, valve covers & air cleaner. Headers and rear air shocks. Very recent tires. Many new parts w/receipts.
Two small holes in driver's seat, needs a new headliner IMO.
This is an almost completed work in progress from which I have had help and parts from our CO forum.
Stock AM/FM 8 track and the A/C are what I am working on next.
Not for the purest, but a tribute. Car looks and sounds good.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Allan
I have always respected your opinion and thanks for catching my typo error. If it did flip over 100k wouldn't it read that?
I don't have a lot of history on it, but po(s) had obviously made several changes over the past 46 years. It's been fun to work on & drive.
The OCA appraiser stated the same thing about 442's were never CS and is why I added "... not for the purist " but put it's value at $16,500 before I added the console, paint detailing, tach etc.I also picked up 442 fender & trunk numerals from Nick, just haven't found the template to install them yet & can't see paying TPP $40 + for it.

Dave,
The Odometer on these cars will not show when the car rolls past 100k. Only the newer cars starting in the early 80's?? have that feature of showing 6 placeholders for mileage (not including the 'tenths' /mile) So in truth, the only way you'd know if it had turned over more than once is by tracking actual mileage through documentation.
Just an FYI, the 442 was available on the Cutlass Supreme, but only on the convertible. The striping pattern on the deck lid is similar to the HO but obviously different colors and extended further to the end of the deck lid.
The steering wheel the PO added is called a 'Starfire" wheel and is smaller diameter than the one that would have come with this car. He probably liked the color match. Looks good but needs the proper center cap.

Very informative & interesting. You have a good eye for detail.I appreciate the information on the steering wheel & the 72' CS Convert 442.
From what I have learned prior to 1985 Georgia issued one title to the original owner . When the vehicle is sold a second time & from then on, the title turns into a bill of sale. The BoS I received didn't have a reference to mileage. It would be great to claim 19k. The the frame & body are that clean, but likely an inoperative odometer.
