Wind and water check list card
Was working under the dash today. Found this card in a pocket behind the passenger side kick panel. Thought it was unusual for something like this to survive.

Looks like an end of the line rain booth and final fit finish test to see if water is intruding and how things fit. Very interesting doc. It says BOP too so it looks like it might have been across those 3 lines. The first one I've ever seen. Ranco valve. When the last time you heard that word?

welcome to C.O. From another Olds lover from Tennessee.I'm from Columbia . Nice '57 you have there. My mom had two of those cars that I recall.1 was gray like yours, the other black and white with red interior. I'd say that a pretty rare piece of paper you have. I sold many of those cars used and I've never seen one. Larry

Then the car was assembled at Wilmington , Delaware .
This was a BOP plant , where Buick , Olds , and Pontiacs were all assembled on the same line .
The main Olds plant at Lansing Mich. was notorious for not letting paperwork stay in the car when it was shipped .

I have a hole on the right side of firewall. I think this is where the water valve must go. I have two valves in a box. Both seem to hold air when I move the lever and try to blow thru them. Also does anyone have a diagram of the dash vacuum hose routing. I have three hoses hanging from the control to the right of the column. What little stripes are left on the hoses are blue, white, and another blue or a light green. Hard to see a difference it color on the green or blue. Thanks to all.
