I need to order parts I am sure it won’t matter but want to make sure I order correct
What parts are you planning on ordering?I ask because I see a spacer plate between your ring gear and the differential.A ring gear spacer is never a good idea, especially if you have some power under the hood.If the rear is a 8.2" & does look to be that, then that differential is for 2;93-3;23 ratio. The diff. looks to be an Eaton or one of the copies that are out there.

I need to adjust the pinion so I am replacing pinion bearing and. Shim kit no real power right now and just a stick rebuild in its future 400/455 with a 4 speed is the plan
Justin, I hadn't seen these pictures yet. I agree that it looks like you've got a spacer under the ring gear. But it looks like there may be damage to the teeth on the ring gear. You may need someone who knows more than us about rear ends give you their opinion on using that ring gear. John
