I don't know enough about what to look for on the data plates but I've never seen one in this same condition before.

What about the support bars stretching across the engine bay - weren't they used on the large body Delta's and Vista Cruisers only?

Besides the trim tag rivets, there is so much wrong with this car that contradict the sellers statement that it would be easier to list whats right. Hopefully the new owner gets a kiss with this deal because they are going to have sex.

Title "1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30
1970 OLDSMOBLIE 442 W30 HIGHLY OPTIONED NUMBERS MATCHING NO RESERVE AUCTION
FRAME OFF NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION"

Sellers statement "up for no reserve auction is this stunning real deal frame off restored 1970 Oldsmobile 442 w30 with complete numbers matching drivetrain, this w30 was completely restored in early 2010 , tons of money has been invested in this w30 and no expense was spared, drivetrain was completely overhauled, interior is in immaculate condition, exterior is in perfect condition paint looks wet from every angle all body lines and contours are razor-sharp and match up excellent, under carriage is perfect straight and rust free, all body panels are original, only issue is exhaust manifolds was sent off to be redone and was never returned last year so will need a new set of the exhaust manifold's, overall this is a stunning example for a W 30 very few are around in this condition this is your chance to own a piece of American muscle history please ask any questions before bidding best and fastest way to get a hold of me is to give me a call 832-892-6525 or 832-385-5415"

Dual Gate shifter was always optional even on W cars.

LOL, I like the Vista Cruiser braces. That being said, it looks like it may have real red inner fenders and look nice, other than the holes for the external voltage regulator they mounted on it. No expense spared,LOL, HAHAHA

I think this is the first time I have ever seen a space saver spare tire in a "no expense spared" restoration.

Nice looking car, not a bad price - depending on what W30 parts really came with it. Unfortunately as others have said the hyperbole does not match what the car is - so many minor things wrong it adds up. From whats been pointed out to little things like a 71 electric master window switch to the red paint on the OAI assembly. I'm betting most of the hard to find W parts are long gone

There isn't enough room in this thread to point out everything wrong with that car. Suffice to say that reproduction red inner fenders are always a red flag (pun only slightly intended) for me.
