Wiper switch hookup

Wiper switch hookup
When I picked up my 64 Cutlass it didn’t have he wiper switch installed, I have now found the switch in a box of “extras” tha came with.
Issue is I’m not sure which wire goes where. I’ve attached a pic of the wires and switch if anyone can help.
I think this is a 2 speed switch? From what I can comprehend from wiring diagram and how the motor is hooked up, the white wire is the washer motor and the green and purple are for wipers
any help would be great!

Going off the wiring diagram. The green is the wiper, the white is the washer feed from the switch. The purple is fed from the fuse box to the wiper motor, and jumpers to the washer. The single terminal on the switch should connect to the metal of the switch body when the washer is engaged and there should be a ground wire terminal in the 2 wire plug. The schematic shows a single speed wiper motor. Don't know about the black wire, possibly the heater.

Which wire goes to which terminal on the switch?
the purple/black wire runs from the wiper motor through the firewall and is just loose with the green and white ones.

Yes... Like Eric said. The wiper motor and the washer pump are fed with a constant hot. When the switch for either the wipers or the washers is engaged, a ground signal is sent to the respective motors.

These switches are supposed have a ground wire? I thought they were grounded by the body when screwed in?
It looks like the single terminal is grounded to the body of the switch. According to the diagram the side by side connector should have a ground wire in it.
Which wire goes to which terminal on the switch?
The white wire goes to the single terminal and the green in the side by side connector connects to the other 2.
