64-69 4 speed console

Compete original 4 speed console that came out of a 68 442 back around 1990, been stored in a closet in my house ever since. It has a piece broken out of the rear of the plastic base and I have that piece to glue or epoxy back in! There is a small chip at the very bottom edge of the rear next to the broken out piece, which needs to be filled in & I'm including some extra pieces of console base plastic to work with so the repair will be easy & nearly invisible. The chrome on the top plate & door are what I would consider way above average for the age. A few pits & scratches in the chrome, but by no means ugly or bad. The chrome has nice uniform shine throughout with no dull/heavily worn areas. The door hinge, rear light housing & lens are intact, I have the original key for the door lock too. There are no other cracks in the plastic base other than the one right above the broken out rear piece as seen in photo. This is my last 4 speed console & I've kept it because it's the best one I've had. $800 plus exact cost shipping through FedEx ground with signature upon delivery, within the 48 states only. I will pack it like fine china and insurance is highly recommended because of how fragile these are! Paypal works.

Have not seen one of these for sale, have a question, is the four speed pattern covering a three speed pattern? Mine on my '65 has both patterns and is held on by two speed nuts.

That's how this one is too, 3 speed pattern underneath the 4 speed pattern plate with the speed nuts.

The '69 console I have has a 3-speed shift pattern underneath the 4-speed plate. All this time, I thought the console was originally out of a 3-speed car. This thread makes me feel a lot better!

My '65 442 has the same set up and I wondered if it had come with a three speed, since it was standard.

Quick question. How is the 4-speed pattern attached to the 3-speed pattern? Or did they just drill through the 3-speed pattern and attach with the speed nuts? With the 3 speed only, there aren't any speed nuts. The pattern plate is permanently attached to the console.

This, they drilled thru the 3-speed pattern & attached with speed nuts.

Yes, they drilled through the 3 speed pattern. Glad it wasn't the other way around!
