Hello all
How's it going everyone. My name is Josh and I'm finally glad to be here. I've been in love with the a body Cutlass for quite awhile and i picked up a 71 project 2 days ago. Plans are a eventual LS swap and a daily driver. I need to replace and fix a few broken and crusty things and I'll be set. Thank you for having me and I'll have plenty of questions for you.

Welcome to the group... Let me be the first to ask, what's the rationale for the LS swap??? Are there major issues with the current drive train that you don't feel can be easily addressed...

Currently not running so can't answer you on any problems with the drive train. The swap was something I wanted to do with a 62 Bel Air I had. I wanted something a bit more fuel efficient and economical because it was planned to be a daily driver plus I have no sentiment or need to keep it original or numbers matching. Thank you for having me but I plan on putting a little money into the 350 for a cam, springs, lifter, intake, and carb. So i can enjoy driving it while I get body work and interior done whenever the budget allows

Got my hood up and new battery connected she turns over great but seems like she's not getting any spark. One of my neighbors said my points need to be set but I have no experience with carbs and distributors, but hopefully I can get the spark issue fixed then get my brakes taken care of then I can enjoy it a bit while working on it
