Question 1970 442 Pinstripe

Was a blue pinstripe an option on a standard 442 non w-25 or w-30 car? I know I've seen black pinstripes and even an original platinum with red but I'm curious to the other colors available.

Thanks

Re: Blue pinstripe

Quick answer is yes a blue stripe was available. I only have a photo of a known 70 W-31, Platinum with the blue stripes to show the combination I do not have a vintage picture to show the pin stripes on any of the other available colors (dual standard stripes) except white, but this is better than nothing at all.

Its unfortunate that we will never know how many cars were built with blue stripes.

I also have a photo of a unrestored 70 442 W-25 Platinum with red stripes.

Think I found my answer. Kinda cool with the blue vinyl top. Not sure if this is factual or not, but it appears the blue stripe on a blue car is darker than say a blue stripe on a white car. I guess Sam's W-30 goes against that, though.

I guess I've answered my own questions after going through the Build section. Love this site.

Which is correct? Color book only shows the light but I've seen a fair share of the dark blue stripes on the light blue cars.

The color in the first pic is the factory correct color/tone. It's a fairly bright/vivid blue.

I'm very familiar with the car, paint, etc in the second pic and know the stripe color is not correct.
