I need a trunk S emblem for a 1968 Cutlass convertible. I believe this emblem is unique to Convertible part number is 7752547.

 

Do you have a pic of what it's supposed to look like? I thought both the 442 and Cutlass S convertibles got the Claret rocket emblem on the center of the trunk and the Cutlass got the "Cutlass" script to the right and the 442 got the "442"

The trunk emblem for the Cutlass S is the one with S not the rocket. The trunk of the convertible is different from the sedan. Thanks for replying

 

I'll look again. I parted a 68 Cutlass S convertible ten years ago and I saved all the emblems. That's where most of the emblems that I have posted above came from. The emblem that's second from the right above looks very similar to the hardtop trunk emblem version that Fusick lists as part number SE34T.

 

Here is a photo of the emblem from my 1968 Olds Cutlass S convertible.

 

The convert and four door emblem has more curve to it than the others. Show us a side view of the emblem.

 

The one I have is 7752548. Let me know if you're interested.

 

That one is correct for an 'S' convert. One stud and one springy pin. The correct part number is 7795435. The convert emblem has more curve than a coupe. Casting number should be -----547. ----548 is for a coupe.

 

So the one I have is not correct for the convertible.


I have no idea where it would have come from. I parted out a 68 convertible and had a spare 68 convertible deck lid but I've never had any coupe parts.
