Arrow 60 dynamic in for bodywork over winter

From a barn find with its 371, its making its way back.
So far its been wiring, full new brake system, Tires and wheels and now in for paint and body. I know its not a frame off but it'll be a sweet ride come summer.
of the 65 cars I've build since I was 15, this is the first time I've jobbed out a body and paint project. My back just doesnt like that sort of thing anymore.

I dont want to announce the colours yet, its all about the suspense, but it will be two tone.
Here's a link to the photos as I get them, hope you enjoy.

I do need to find an interior, does anyone know with certainty if a 59/ 60 impala interior will fit? I cant find a reproduction olds interior.

That is going to be awesome!

I'm looking to resurrect a 59/60 coupe at some point in my aging years.

Progress and dreaming ahead.
The body has been very solid with minimal patch panels needed. I was pleased to find a similar green used on this one with the wide whites, mine will be darker more Absinthe green if you will. My greatest friend who passed last hear had a favorite saying so it will become the name of my olds to remember him. It'll be painted by a pin striper on the trunk lid. Door handles are too pitted and will be replaced.

The 1960 Eighty-Eight has always been a favorite. My brother had one for some years. Even with the 371, the Dynamic was very potent. The clean and smooth design has made a comeback and is becoming very popular. His was a monotone silver with a grey cloth interior. Personally, I do not like when they lower or retromod it. It was always thought that Olds was going to place the exhaust exit where the optional back-up lights ended up. Did your Eighty-Eight have the optional back-up lights, and if so, are you going to relocate them? Your project is coming along very nicely.

No, it was a back up light delete car. I'm not fussy about seeing them slammed, but i do like a little lower stance. Some shaving is in order too as the pot metal is a little too pitted.

Some stainless for the " exhaust ports", and an idea for upcoming pin stripping for the drums.

Here's the latest. Its been clear coated and now waiting to be wetsanded and polished. The colour is 73 Corvette Elkart Green with pear and pearl in the clear coat. It should scream outside in the sun. Later this week she'll be put back together and her debut pictures taken.

Good thing it has a huge trunk because you are going to be hauling lots of trophies home. You did this old gal proud. I didn't think I would like the green but it is spectacular. Nice job.

I am drooling! My high school ride was a 1960 Super 88 Holiday SceniCoupe; with 3-on-the-tree from the factory.

Like you I shaved it; as at that point in time the GM offerings of 1958 were still etched in one's mind. In addition to shaving the chrome I also nosed the hood (filled in the area where the Oldsmobile name plate is located). Miss that ride!

Great job! Enjoy it!
