66' 425 starfire into a 79' firebird

I have a drive train out of a 1966 delta 98 , and I hope that someone can advise me on the best suited intake manifold for the 425 starfire that I have put a 3/4 race cam in , balanced the crank and heads, went 20 over on the cylinders. I want to be able to run it on the street and the strip , tri-power, low rise 360° duel quad or a 6 inch rise single quad? Thanks, Purple People Eater

Welcome aboard Purple people canibal,
First of all we will need a lot more information about your build before anyone can help you make a good choice for an intake.

1) What pistons are you running?
2) What is your calculated compression ratio?
3) What carb are you planning to run?
4) Are you running headers?
5) Are you concerned with hood clearance issues?
6) How were your heads balanced?
7) You said you have 3/4 race cam. What happened to the other 1/4 of your cam? Seriously we need your cam specs.
8) What trans are you running & what gear ratio?

I think that covers it. For a good street strip intake you will probably want to look for an Edelbrock Performer, Torker, Offenhauser Portosonic, or Holley Street Dominator. Skip the multicarb set ups, they will just slow you down.
JMHO good luck with your build, Dave - The Freak

That's good way to put it Dave, never thought of it that way!
Plus he not only balanced the crank but he balanced the heads too?

No really welcome to CO. What Dave said is what we'll need for info.
