The a-body headers are being sold exclusively through Smitty at M&J Performance. I have a set - very pretty - but haven't installed yet. Supposed to be a "drop in". Hit up realoldspower.com, as a few folks have started doing installs and are posting some pics.

Good Headers cost $$$. Thick flanges will help prevent sealing issues. I saw a set recently that were a FAT 3/8" thick and maybe closer to a 1/2". All of the cheap ones are 1/4" or less including some made by Hooker.
Our Olds do not enjoy a proper bolt arrangement to seal the exhaust manifold area (especially with a Header). You need strength in the flange to help prevent movement during tightening and warpage from heat.

Im running a really old pair of blackjack headers i think they where from the 70's ., they have really thick flanges and long collectors. I got them in a parts deal. I blasted them and painted then with vht paint. I dont know what the new blackjack headers look like but i haven't heard of alot of guys running em either.
