Has anyone retarded or advanced their factory w-30 camshaft
The one I am taking about is a 4 speed 1971 w-30 and I was considering retarding the cam 2-4° or maybe you went 6° + or -
I'd like to hear about some of your results track time et and mph or dyno before and after.

That's a baby cam if you have the factory '71 cam in there yet. I'm going to guess nobody went through that effort while still using a factory cam. Mine's a replica of the W31 cam, basically a 234 straight pattern on a 112 LSA and it's installed at a 112 ICL, and power still fell off like a complete rock over 5200 rpm. Never took the time to move it around on the dyno let alone the agony of doing it at the track, and multiple trips there will have varying conditions... now that Peyton is making a belt drive it would be easier to do on a dyno session before putting it in the car.
