Thornton Tubular Exhaust Manifolds
I know this has been brought up before.
I want to know if anyone has bought these for their car and what their thoughts are?
I've already read some of the stuff from the other threads but I didn't see where anyone had actually bought them.
I'm currently running a set of rusty crusty LT's.
I want to get something that looks better.
I'm looking at getting a set of the Thornton tubular manifolds or going with their W/Z manifolds.
I have no plans to ever race the car. It's a cruiser so I'm not looking to get every ounce of performance out of it just want it to run good.

There is one member running them, he bought his 455 from them. He said they fit the exhaust very nice. Either those tubular manifolds or W/Z manifolds are a compromise compared to headers. The tubular manifolds will be much lighter but may need periodic tightening, my shorties with similar 3/8" flanges do occasionally. The flow between the two till Dyno tests are done is a shot in the dark how much better one is than the other.

I used the stock looking 'Thortons" on my 72 350 engine and ended up needing the copper gaskets he sells to get them to seal. This may have been partly my heads, not sure as both heads and manifolds seemed to be square when checked.
