Speedmaster Valve Springs???

So, I'm looking for some valve springs on the cheap to throw into a set of iron Ga heads for my 455 to get the cam that Mark (cutlassefi) custom did for me (.568" lift). While he offered quality components to complement the cam on the iron heads, i needed as cheap of an alternative as possible. I found these springs on the speedmaster website:

http://store.speedmaster79.com/p-249...coil-bind.aspx

They seem to be what i'm looking for, however,i need locks and keepers! What is your take on these springs, and do ya'll have any suggestions for locks and keepers? I'm trying to keep this on the super cheap as i'll be replacing the heads in the future with procomps.

A bit of info-- I've had bad experience w/ aftermarket valve springs for my '70 w-30 stock eliminator car . I'm only using an Olds factory race cam w/ 475 lift . The aftermarket springs I've tried [ Crane and Comp Cams } worked great when new, but after 40-50 runs , they give up pressure at high RPM and cause lifter problems . The problem appears to be poor quality steel these days -- my factory w-30 springs last for years . If you're not racing or gonna run your motor hard, use anything that floats yer boat . If you're serious w/ a high reving stocker changing springs and lifters a couple times in a season sucks!!

They didn't on the website, but I did find the listing in their master catalog.

Doing some quick math tells me that the spring rate is approximately 342 lbs/in. If I set the spring install height at 1.875" (assuming i can get that far), that should put seat pressure at 105 lbs. with a pressure of 299 lbs. at .568" lift.

I called the guys at Speedmaster (procomp) and they said this is the combo that they use on their oldsmobile heads. what really sucked was that i had to call 5 or 6 times to reach their "tech guy" instead of an order-taker.

I don't know, maybe I do just need to bite the bullet and get some more expensive valvetrain components? With all the cost, my machine work is sitting in the garage in a bag, rusting away because of houston humidity.
