Shopping for headers for a 68-9 A-body with a 350. For street use, looking for decent quality, the best fit and preferable something coated. A search on Summit brings up endless Chevy applications even when specifying Olds. Thanks

 

I've done some recent research for my SBO project, these are all 1-3/4" primaries into 3" collectors, ceramic coated:

Hooker 3107-1HKR
Headman 58196
Headman 58066
Flowtech 31150FLT

I haven't picked one yet, but these are the contenders I'm considering.

 

There is also ARH, but your going to pay a fortune for them, they are ss headers.

 

Go Hedman or Hooker. The Flowtech have thin flanges and rust very quickly.

 

Get Hookers.

 

As previously suggested, American Racing Headers is absolutely leagues better than these other brands.

Personally, if your engine is stock or moderately modded (350hp or less), I would recommend to go with some clone w-series manifolds to do a true dual exhaust and save yourself the headache of headers.

This is coming from someone with headers currently on an engine that needs them (making 600hp)…. And I wish it didn’t.
