What size rims and tires are you using to run 9.76 at 135.4 mph. ?

Is this a Turbo 400 with a GV Overdrive setup ?

I like to hear more about your combo.

Thanks..it was a fun pass.

482 with steel crank, Chevy Journal sizes, Alum rods and Ross pistons 13.2 to 1 compression
Mondello-Knowlton Heads with custom Intake and single 1150 Dominator
low .700 lift Solid Roller
Custom Step headers 2 1/8" to 2" w/ 4" collectors
Mondello Girdle over Billet main caps
T-400 Full man. reverse pattern Valve Body. JW Ultrabell, Griner Trans brake
Dedenbaer Air shifter set at 6900 on this pass
5000 stall Conv.
Fab. 9" with 4.30 gears
NHRA Cert cage good to 8.50
Full interior with functioning Elec windows Driver and Pass side.
Lexan Front and back Glass
Glass fenders, bumpers and Aftermarket Hood with W-30 style scoops but 4" tall and air-box over carb

On the pass Friday night, the #8 Rocker shaft came loose and the Lash Caps came off both valves, so the car came through the lights at 7 1/2 cylinders

Gotta fix that!!

Danny

Thanks Paul.
You and Roger have some BAD A** Oldsmobiles for sure.

I have some cousins live in Rochdale in Lancashire, and another group in Horsham south of London. The next time we make it over to visit the family, I'll arrange to meet you and Roger ...would love to see your cars!!

I'm sure Danny won't mind me hijacking this thread...what does a wet system cost to do it right? I have been toying with the idea of adding a sneaky pete to my car just for those unsuspecting street run ins lol!

Come on over

Wow it would be great to meet you all. Try come during our summer and you may catch us racing and see some of the other cars in our club like the 8 sec 66 Nova and a 71 Hemi cuda that is currently having twin turbos fitted to try put it in the 7's and road legal too. Then there is my old man who is famous for fitting a 27 litre Merlin of Spitfire/ Mustang fame in a homebuilt car, anyway I better stop there as this is an Oldsmobile site just get yourselves over here !

A Merlin in a car??? And I thought we were crazy in Texas...

Probably the Summer of 2014 as this Summer we have my Mother-in-laws 80th Birthday and my Son turns 21. I promised him a trip to the Casinos in Atlantic City..may try to fit the schedule to include the Dick Miller race in Norwalk..haven't been since 2008.

Steve...ya'll come along, but the Mrs. may want to fly in something nicer than a C-130..You Army guys

Danny,

Congrats your car is FLYING!!!

Wouldn't the casinos in Vegas be closer to Texas than Atlantic city?

Yep..but Mother-in-law is in central PA, so we will be close to Jersey. When we want to lose a few $$$ here we drive to Louisiana and visit Lake Charles. Two very nice Casino/hotel resorts..and the FOOD!!!

Having fun with the car, looking for more seat time and maybe some 9.50's

Danny,

That makes perfect sense. If you ever head northeast I am right outside of Boston.

I am a HUGE fan of Louisiana and the food, been to New Orleans a bunch of times and can never get enough of the cajun and creole meals.

Joe: I will race Sealy this Spring...I'll let you know

Bryan: We will be there, prob mid to late July...look forward to meeting you.

Michael: I would like to meet you as well. Boston is one town I have always wanted to visit..built models of USS Constitution and read everything about her history. Now I need to walk her deck, I love deep water sailing ships as much as Oldsmobile. Maybe this Summer.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
