Question

Can anyone recommend a Machine Shop for engine block / heads in the Chicagoland area? Southwest suburbs preferably, but does not have to be. Not looking for cheap, just the best value for my money. As always, good work for a good price. Thanks in advance for your input,

ER

I was going to use Pete a CP Motoworks just over the border in WI, then I found out my house needed a new roof... so the engine build was put on hold.

I communicated with him a few times and he was prompt and professional. I am not a machinist, so I can't comment on his work, but all reviews I've heard have been very good.

Let me see if I can tag Luke for more suggestions. @83hurstguy

FX engines in Mokena, IL. Been using them for 17 years now after getting burned at other shops. Not cheap, but cheap work equals **** work.

They've done several motors for big name cars out of Troy's shop.
