Which Machine Shop?

Of the three choices for Olds 455 engine work. Which machine shop to use or are they all about the same level?

Bill Trovato in New York
Rocket Racing in Wisconsin
Bernard Mondello in Corona, California

If you’re willing to ship your block to CA then I’d have to throw my guys hat in the ring. He’s the best and has all the BHJ plates to do it right. Pm me if you’re interested.

I would trust VORTECPRO to machine and build a stout Olds, Buick,Chevy, Pontiac. Ford, Dodge. Quality machining is the foundation of any build. Olds engines need a little extra clearance on the rod and mains but all engines have to be purpose built.

Although they don't list any Olds builds on their webpage, Five Star Engines in Glendale, AZ knows their way around engines and did a great job on my 455 build.
