Long racing shifters

http://www.gforcetransmissions.com/shifter_4_hb100s.asp

They now offer a shifter that allows use of the reverse lock out like the factory Hurst shifters did where you have to have the car in reverse to remove the key 70 -72 cutlass

I ordered one and it should be here friday

I got to love the Vertical Gate on the street in the 1970s, and hate the H pattern in my diesel pickup. Unfortunately, Long doesn't make either style for my truck tranny! The Long H pattern shifter should be the best of that style, hope you like it!

The guy from long shifters told me it will perform much better than the Hurst competition plus available today. The price is about the same as a repro shifter and rods from the parts place. Hope Spring thaw comes early so I can try it out before labor day

I think you mis-understood the description of the HB 1000S shifter...

The reverse lock-out means you have to push the shifter handle down to get into the reverse gate, like the old Hurst Super-Shifter1...

I put these shifters on all the Vintage road race transmissions I build...

Long shifters are a very precise well engineered shifter...

Hope this helps... Crash

They are all that and they recently came out with a kit to hook up to the factory back drive to the column too I first heard of this last week

I keep looking for that UP's man. I am excited to see what he has for me

HERE IT IS

The reverse tab is something new.It allows you to hook to the factory column lock back drive if you wish. Just ask for the gizmo when you order your new shifter

Now I have to wait until April to get the car out of storage to try the shifter for something other than bench racing. Gotta go grab another gear
