Let’s start a Kings of Olds power list based on HP per Cubic inch.
3,343 Back in 2008 72 350 iron 7a heads is the last I had it on a scale at the local quarry. Mike Richards had a few lite weight parts added to the car. No AC. Otherwise fully loaded elect everything.
It's maybe a few hundred more now with all the bracing, bigger rims and tires. 13'' baer brakes up front 12'' rear. Heavy *** NascarDX block. But very lightweight internals SBbryant crank. short stroke rods. Batten heads and intake. Very light bob weight! Elect, fans, water pump, fuel pump on tank. I had Bill T build it to spin up fast and maintain 600+ horsepower levels at highest rpm to at least 8,000. All usable in street drag race. And take full advantage Lighting Rods keeping it in that gear. Plus the great gears separation of Lonnie's 2004r. 3.73 rear. Not only is great street drag car. Custom suspension upgrade, she is a true rocket ship on rail. Flat 90 degree turn at 60+ mph.
Now wise guy! My fat ***. I built like a grizzly bear come on down and find out! Bring that other all CAP QUEEN with you too!! Come soon, I am getting old.
70 Buick GS 350 was just an th350. But a torque monster! In the hands of a 16 year kid. With a permit to only drive in daylight to school and work. To be honest, I almost killed myself the first time I raced the GS. And told myself you have a lot to learn.

Come down and play!
4.150 piston, 3.850 stroke x 2.5 mains lightweight Bryant crankshaft with spacers. Batten heads. DX block. 40 years of street racing with Lighting Rods.
11 years with a 70 Buick GS 350, I believe was a Wednesday built car that all the best parts coming together. Its was just faster than almost anything factory. Back in the day.
He liked giant tires. I think it killed both et and mph. It should have been well into the 8's and 152 or so. I also didn't like his converter as the car had terrible 60' numbers.

I had a customer that ran 9.04 @ 148 @ 3500-3600 pounds, he claimed 3600, but I never seen it on the scales, he also ran 1.30 60, I wasn't real happy with that, the wheelies slowed it down, it made 880 HP @ 7100 RPM on my dyno corrected. The car was raced at Woodburn, a fast track with a 30.0 baro.

maybe an old road test from a magazine..then I’ll figure out the hp from that and hp/cube
And some cars were lucky and came together with the best engine part at the factory. My buddy's brother from school was a great mechanic. Dad had him do maintenance on GS. I watched as he tuned it by ear. Drove it and tuned again. Told us it all set. It never run so fast before.
It never made the 1/4 mile under 14 sec. Just over. God knows I tried.
So, which one of you two is the catcher? pitcher?
The story goes back in the 70's GM workers were hangover from the weekend. So, Monday and Tuesday car were not as well made. Wednesday cars were built the best. Something about Thursday and Friday car I do not remember.

I remember when all the late 60's and 70's muscle cars were on the street. And the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo. Soon after, no one want them. People were selling them for $500 or less. My best friend who's uncle had an insurance agency and supplied insurance cards. We bought many many of the classic muscle car. Rode the **** out of them and then sold them. A few cars we would even chase deer at nite in the harvested corn fields. I will always remember those day! I was lucky to drive many of the best muscle of that time.
How about you ''Bottom boy'' Were you even alive???
