Hyd. Roller in DX block

When using the stock hyd.roller lifters and dog bones in a DX block is a small base circle camshaft required? I believe I have read in some old posts here and on ROP that to get up to around.360 lobe lift you would have to have the cam ground with a smaller base circle. Thanks in advance

No that’s only in big blocks with a std .921 flat tappet.

Hyd roller

Mark, did you ever figure out the max lift for a hyd. roller in the BB's with the .921 lifters? Just curious. Thought others with the 400E and 425's might be interested. George

About .300 lobe lift, that’s about it.

dx block

So about .480 lift with 1.6 ratio rockers for the 400E/425 blocks. I could live with that. Thanks for the clarification on that Mark. As usual, you're there to help us old timers out. George.
