harmonic balancers

looking for recommendations on harmonic balancers. I have a fluid damper now but my engine builder doesn't prefer them

ATI but you have red redrill the crank pulley for BBC bolt pattern

have you ever heard of anyone having trouble with fluidampr I have been looking on line and haven't really found anyone having issues

Or rebuild the OEM. OEMs are still available as well as SFI Cert replacements.

Nope...Never heard anyone having trouble with a fluid damper.

TCI Rattler, fits stock pulley without redrilling. So they have an actual Oldsmobile-part.

ATI or BHJ if you want a more stock looking damper with the Olds bolt pattern. I have both on two different engines for just that reason.
