Why?
I still think it's an informative video and Jason Line is playing in the dyno room in the back ground.

Didn't say it wasn't informative but still no use for him. I've been in WJ's dyno room and watching pulls and I have plenty for WJ/KJ/Arlene.

I don't need too, I know he does and for good reason.

In the early days of 500 inch Pro Stock, everyone was running 174 MPH except Warren, first 176 then 177 MPH, not everyone has forgot that.

You're preaching to the choir. I know WJ & Arlene very well, been to the shop many many times. I became a WJ fan when he had the 83 Hurst car and the DRCE 1. We have had a lot of talks about many things and he's always treated me very well. I didn't pay for a ticket for many years because they took care of me. Yes WJ had reasons to dislike GA,one being he hired a WJ crewmember who just happened to bring WJ's log book on beadlock wheels with him when he came.. WJ was the first to run 170/180/190 & 200. Also first in the 6's with KJ in 94.

Was GA crewing WJ when he did that?

Yes, WJ took Greg Anderson in when they were both back in Minnesota at a young age, Warren had taught him everything he knew at the time he left WJ. Arlene especially didn't like it. This was the way it was explained to me.

Probably but as I was told he worked the can back and NEVER touched an engine. I guess GA was the main guy who WJ owes his carrer to,right? After GA left WJ only won 3 more Championships,I guess WJ remembered what GA taught him.

I'm not sure GA worked for WJ in MN. GA was working for John Hagen when John was killed racing. I think WJ was already in GA when this happened. I will ask Arlene for details.

I haven't heard back from Arlene yet but Hagen was killed in 1983 and WJ was already in GA. by then. I've heard GA say he was standing on the starting line when the accident happened. She will let me know when GA went to work for them

OK,here's what she told me. WJ came south in 1980 and drove for Jerome Bradford. When KJ graduated from highschool and their house was finished in 82 that's when they moved south. GA went to work for them in 87 and left in 97 and he never worked for them in MN. I know when WJ ran the 83/84 Hurst cars GA wasn't working for them. FYI Dale Smith is the guy who got WJ signed on with Oldsmobile. WJ told me his deal was he got a $100 for every Hurst Olds sold.

What are your thoughts on Lee Shepherd?
How about the Dodge boys at Wayne County speed and Darrell Alderman?

Shepard was a great racer & was gone way too soon. The Dodge Boys were cheating POS and no telling how many races and championships they cost WJ. Ironically WJ and Scott were very good friends.

I agree with you on both points..
Shepard won races at the starting line and always left on time, he was also involved in cylinder head development.
Looking back at the BS interviews the Dodge boys would do, playing up the mythical Killer power plant that always ran a little quicker.

Anderson will probably beat Johnson’s championship wins soon. He already holds the record for national event wins at 99. One more championship and he will tie Johnson

I know he said before he had asked Johnson many times about driving and was rebuffed over and over. Don’t know why but when a guy like that has been on your team for years and clearly has the ability…it should have happened. Johnson could still be in it as the team owner and have Anderson doing driving duties.

Anderson has a 100 wins now. He has won one race this year and the girl is living rent free in his head. As far as GA driving for WJ,if he had been a little more patient he might could have. There's nobody that could get a car A to B better than WJ. There's drivers and then there's leavers,WJ was a driver.
If I remember right WJ sent KJ & GA to the Bob Bondurant (sp) driving school to get some training. Maybe GA ran out of patients before WJ put him in a car. That's a question I'll ask WJ next time I'm over there.

I agree.
There are also drivers that could also be classed as leavers.
Did WJ ever wreck?

The only time he put it on the roof was believe it or not was testing midweek in Atlanta. He said it was the best car he ever had and never quite the same afterwards. Darrell Alderman said that WJ was the best driver period.
