Dyno Testing Update

So here is where we stand after a short few days about a week ago.

We ran into a LOT of issues, all of which are probably my fault in some way, shape or form. We did get some testing done and I will work on another short write up.

I got pretty frustrated this weekend because I have things I want to do at home, which is Florida, and I just don't have time, because all my free time seems to be in MI turning gasoline into heat and noise. So I over reacted and told Chris Leese that I wanted to find the shortest path and just finish up. While he never feels he's the voice of reason, for me he is. After a long conversation with him yesterday we came to the following conclusion; We are going to keep testing and not reduce the scope of our testing. But we are going to slow down the testing. I have season tickets to the Detroit Lions football team. I am going to limit my visits to MI this fall to when the Lions play at home and I'm going to only stay a few days before and after the game, depending on my schedule. This will hopefully keep me home more and allow me to work on my '77 Delta 88 Pace Car and my big block Rallye 350 (which is a day away from driving) and some other things at home.

The above means that I am probably 6 months or more from finishing, if not longer, but hopefully I'll be happier. Don't get me wrong, I really, really enjoy doing this, but I need to find a better balance. I hope this will be a better balance.

Jerry, It's good that you are having this time of reflection. You can only burn a candle on both ends until it meets in the middle. It's more important not to be burning both ends. Home is where the heart should be. That should be 1st always. Let me know if and when I can be of help to you. As we get near harvest time here on the farm, work will get more involved.

I have been messing around building Olds engines as a hobby for 30 years and the articles you write are the best home builders guides i ever read.
Thanks for what you do.
