Thats a cool car. I think he used to be a regular on ROP. Good guy from what I recall.
I can’t believe his street class cut off is still at 12.0
Most tracks are 11.5 at least, and theyre FINALLY moving that to 11.00
NHRA is SOOOOooooo damn slow on the draw. Not sure they realized or cared that there were a TON of near stock cars capable of times that inevitably put beginners in the Pro class.

Cool wagon, looks like it still just has a 3.08 gear outback, even more impressive. The motor has a .30-inches overbore and JP pistons, totally possible and very rare😉. It isn't just car magazine articles with spelling errors and incorrect information these days unfortunately.

The klimps are really nice people. As far as classes go the cut off for street is 12.50 and sportsman is 12.00. pro is 13.00 to 9.90 I wanna say at our track. The sportsman class is the main NHRA divisional at our track . Pretty eclectic group. 17 sec Yukon's vs 12 sec cars with roll bars lol most guys like my self dial them back.
Hmmmm. I don't do much class/bracket due to manual trans and my own inconsistencies. I wonder if it will affect the 2008 and older 11.50 roll bar cutoff?
I doubt they will EVER change that. It would involve lawyers and they cost money so….nope.
Plus…older cars are a bit less safe. But the brakes and tires do help them be more stable on the track.

But we refer to sportsman as street usually. And then Box & No Box.

Wow we have no street class. We do have sportsman which is what is mostly considered to be street and low end pro class cars that could race pro. Sportsman here has a 11.50 cut off. Pro is a 13. To 9.90. Then it's super pro. This is a Nhra track.
I have to hit the brakes in sportsman and a few racers don't really like me there but oh well.
I just love getting the seat time AND getting more weather/track information for the next round.
