I have a 63 cutlass convertible that I would like to change to a manual transmission. Looking for parts and Advice.


Also looking for power steering and a 394 ci engine...can anyone help?

Looking to upgrade my 215ci to 394 ci in my 63 F85 convertible. Also looking for a power steering conversion for same car.

Bad idea, not practical, never been done for good reason, a super heavy 394 in place of the light weight 215? Sorry to be so harsh, but it really would not be the wise thing to try to attempt. Couldn't begin to list all the complications that would have to be overcome.......

Checked Craigslist but couldn't find anything in Fla. Cars , but not engines.

x2. I don't think that unit body platform was ever intended to accomodate such an unwieldy beast as the 394. I recall reading somewhere that even the Lemans 326 was problematic.

I've got the pedals and clutch linkage from a '63 Buick Skylark and comparing them to the '63 F85 pictures in my Olds parts book look like they are the same pieces. Bushing on lower rod at fork end needs some repair, otherwise parts are in decent condition. $275 plus the shipping.
