The taillights on the '67 88's are completely different from those on the 98. This is true for most years. The 88's share similar or identical front ends to the 98's while the rear end treatments are completely different.

Rear of a '67 Delta 88 (mine!):

Rear end of a '67 98:

Other than both being red, I don't see much similarity between those taillight lenses.

These do come up on ebay from time to time. It'd be worth your while to check there every few days or once a week, or, better yet, set up an automatic search to notify you whenever there's a new auction matching your key words.

I couldn't find any '67 98 tail lights for sale at the moment, but here's a couple of recently completed sales. Sometimes the seller has both, sometimes there's just the left or the right side.

This guy had both sides. Probably just what you needed.

He's a bit confused, though, too. He says they fit the '67 Delmont 88. He's wrong.

Well, NOS pops up on ebay from time to time, too, but far more rarely. Could be a long search, and when you find them, the seller could want an arm and a leg for them. If what you have is unusable, you might pick up a set of good used when you can and put them on the car so you've at least got something, then keep your eye out for the NOS pieces when or if they ever come along.

At the same time, you can set up the new investment account so you can actually pay for the NOS pieces when you finally do find them.
