1974 Hurst Olds

Hey everyone, looking for side window or portal trim for a 74 Hurst Olds. Has vinyl top. Looking for as good as condition as possible, both sides and the clips as well. If anyone can help or has any leads, greatly appreciated.

Thanks

One, maybe more, of the repro parts vendors has the plastic window moldings. Try The Parts Place, or Fusick may have them by now, not sure.

You will have to cut them to fit same as Hurst did with the 1974 conversions. If you're lucky you still have the stainless connector piece that covers the splice on bottom of the window opening.

Surely you didn't think Olds or Hurst had a specific part # for this trim?! If you dig under that vinyl roof, you will find Hurst didn't take any real pains with these conversions...

Careful there...those repro moldings are for a Supreme and 442 style opera windows. Although the H/O window is basically a 442 style, it has been shortened with a patch panel and the repro will not fit as sold. May be able to make a couple cuts to modify it...but, that's a $169 gamble and you'll have at least one visible seam. Unfortunately, finding a good used one is next to impossible.

Your timing may be good for finding a used one - I think there have been three '74 H/Os being parted out with Parts FS threads on here in the past month.

Sorry...but, two of those parted H/O's were posted by me and neither had the opera window moldings. If you do try cutting a repro molding and need the stainless corner escutcheons, let me know. I probably have a couple laying around.

The corner Vees are only part of the package and all 74-77 Cutlass coupes had those. There is also a Hurst-specific small stainless connector piece that covers the moulding splice at the bottom of the window opening.
