Yes, that wheel you have was only used on the tilt / tele column, and as such can be hard to find.

The wheel looked good in the video - why do you need one?
If the problem is the rim-blow horn, those can be rebuilt, but not by ordinary mortals. Those wheels are even harder to find, especially in working condition.

I relocated horn to button under the dash. Just until i found right steering wheel. The entire plastic ring around is cracked and flakes off. Wheel is good except for insert. Would be nice if someone could redo that part.

The wheel can be restored. Not sure if you knew that. The cost of restoration is about the same price of finding a replacement for your 98.

An FYI - a wheel like you're looking for can run over 500.00 especially if you want a specific color (which I think is your goal). A wheel restorer will automatically restore it to the color it comes as unless you state otherwise. They also install new woodgrain in the wheel rim. The horn button can be part of the process. Hope this helps a bit. You're probably finding out what most of us already know - this hobby is not cheap.

Yeah, most "regular guys" just accept that the rim blow wheel doesn't work, put a button somewhere else, and move on.

I've had one that worked and one that didn't. It's kind of cool, but having that extra $500 is even cooler.

I guess the alternative to having the wheel restored is to wrap it with a leather skin/cover. They're available in different colors.

Truer words never spoken. The wheel in my new from the showroom 98 (1983) cracked in 3 places before it was 5 months old. Dealer replaced it and said that was the only one they would replace under warranty. I looked at him and said, "Wanna bet? This car is under warranty for 3 years, so start ordering steering wheels". I was right BTW. Next wheel was the redesigned one they used for 84....It was ok till I sold the car. Funny thing though, my second 98 (white/blue interior) had a fancy shmantzy 82 style wheel with telescopic feature. It never cracked at all in the 20 years I had that car. And it went through some hellish temperatures.
