All crossmembers for 1972's have the double humps for dual exhaust. It's also the same crossmember for any of the transmission options. So if you have a crossmember from say a TH350 it will work fine on a TH400 or muncie 4 speed. There are different bolt holes in the frame rails so you can adjust it for whatever length of transmission you want to install, as long as it was a factory option that year. If you put in a late model 6 speed you may need to drill some new hole to get the correct location.

I did not know that 72's all used dual hump cross-members. Just when I thought I figured out ever piece of info about Olds domething else comes from behind the bushes. Thanks John.

For information I have two members that have crossmembers. I will buy from one or the other based on who pm'd first and follow-through on photographs.

Yep. There's always new stuff to learn

I don't know exactly what year it started, but I do know some of the 1973-77 vintage only have the single hump crossmembers.

The single hump crossmember started when GM began equipping cars with catalytic converters. I believe 1975 was the first year.

I have no idea what the 455 frame pads go for but i have a set. The reproductions are $99 so how would $55 sound? If i have glass left i can bead blast them also.

Hey bud. I have nothing to compare them to, but I know I don't want to shell out 100.00 bucks for a part like this..

Thanks,
Kino

Hood hinges for 68-72 Cutlass are the next item on the list.

The hinges are not the same from '68-'72.

Let me make my self clear. Was looking for a pair of 68 hood hinges, but located them. Now I need a pair for a 72. I'm aware the 68 accommodates 5 bolts and doesn't reach as high as 69-72. So do you have any for a 72 or did you have any for the years specified?

Anyone have a 7 quart oil pan, matching set of pulleys, engine brackets (don't need a/c brackets) prefer one that came from short water pump application. Also trying to get a line on a 3000 stall convertor for down the road at the TC is not needed right now.

Melling

Kino, I have a new Melling M-22F-HV, which has provision for the bolt-on pickup; however, the pickup that is with it is a press in one. These are both new, still in the plastic and in their original boxes. I could ship them with the pan. Bob.
