Night Watch

Looking for a 70-72 Night Watch under dash mounted housing with button. NOS would be awesome but good used is fine.

Night Watch

Basicaly it's an early version of headlamp delay that grounded through the oil pressure switch and kept the headlights on for 45 seconds or there abouts.

Night watch is an option that was available for 1970 maybe more but not sure? From what I know, it lets the lights stay on after you shut the engine down by use of an oil pressure sensor? It allowed you to see where you were going if you just got out of your car. I've also heard that you cant have it along with the rally gauge option? I hope I am not too far off but I'm sur some will chime in.

Thats correct, it grounds through the oil pressure switch and cannot do so with the sending unit in a ralley pack. I had one in my last 442 and have the module and wiring to put it in my vista but the switch is for a 98. That is why I'm looking for just the housing and switch.

Jensen, I bought the nos setup off this site but again it has the full size car switch which would work but I want to try to find the correct one.

I have a complete system I removed from a '70 98. I thought/think the switch is the same as a cutlass, but I will check again.

Scot, the full size switch is different than A body. B/C cars were dash mounted, A body was mounted on the lower metal frame next to the T44 hood lock. I have an NOS A body unit that's never been installed c/w mounting instructions.

if not worried about being correct could you just put a T on the oil pressure line for a rally pack car and make it work that way?

That's one of the issues that came up last year discussing this thing. What Eric (and Rob) suggested was a T fitting which will prolly work.
