Rear glass

My rear glass scratched in probably 100 places. Finger nail deep. Last piece on the car to replace. Well, you know how that goes. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone in Michigan has a rear window for sale that is "nice" with no scratches. New with shipping, I was quoted from $425-495.00. 72Cutlass S.
Thanks

I have a few rear windows. I'll have to check, but I think they all would be in pretty good condition. I'm in Indianapolis & shipping might be a bear, but I'd be willing to travel north a little bit if you wanted?
Let me know & I'll get some pix or check them out for you.
I'd be less expensive than your quote by far even if you do have to travel.
Thanks.

Wait and see what Scott has to offer.
But PS Auto Glass has the rear windows (tint or no tint) for 250. They are in Wisconsin which isn't that far from you. I'd call them and confirm the difference between hardtop and coupe. I've bought from them and am happy with my glass - it was side - all 4 pieces tinted. http://www.psautoglass.com/store/Scr...ield=sortorder

Ok, didn't know they were the ones you had checked on already. Don't know if you've taken that glass out? It's quite heavy and has to be well packed. 150.00 for shipping is not a surprise, but I appreciate how 400.00 is a lot of money. I hope Scott has something you can work with. My suggestion was just in case you couldn't find a suitable used one.

If it doesn't work out, you can also check out Auto City Classic http://www.autocityclassic.com/index...=447&Itemid=41

Allan:
Thanks for the link @ auto city. I checked the site and with shipping (UPS $60.00) it's only $259.00 Clear, green tint, or smoke tint. It was after hours when I called them today. I will call them tomorrow to get more details. Scott is going to give me a call back tomorrow on what he has. 69's are the same correct? Thanks Again!

I have a few candidates. you'd have to come to Lansing area and pick up in person. Not sure if any meet your condition criteria. Maybe you should schedule a visit.

As far as I'm aware, the rear glass in the 68-72 is all the same for the fastback models. The reason I chose 68/69 in that catalogue is the rear glass for those years would be the long sloping glass instead of the short notch glass on the 70-72 Supremes.

Double check with them when they are open, but I'm 99.9% sure it's the same glass. I looked in the GM Parts catalogue and the back glass is in Group 11.204 Part number 7639359 (clear) and 7639360 (tinted).
Description:1968-72 f85 2 drs except 4257. So, I'd be saying that confirms their application.

Hope this helps. Like I said tho - double check with the vendor to make sure you're getting the right glass.

Still checking around. What condition is you's in? I PM you Tuesday and have not heard back. Like I said, not perfect, but nice with minimal scratches and blemishes. Price? PM me. I am going to Grand Rapids on Saturday and can swing in to Lansing to take a look. Let me know.

Thanks for getting back to me on the phone for the glass. You shot me a great price and I am just still checking closer options against the gas add.I was up on a roof @ 90 degrees and no breeze when you called. We left early soon after. I will let you know either way tomorrow.
Thanks Again
Kevin

I recieved the response to my PM a few minutes ago to update. Same price but I will have to remove and replace with core. Octania- Thanks. Not a problem. I will continue to check around. I'm not in a hurry.
