WTB - For a '53 Olds

Looking to buy a complete battery hold down assembly with or without the cover.
This is for the long, thin 12 volt battery used I believe only on the '53s, and some Buicks.

Thanks! Jerry

Hi Craig, Thanks for the reply. It's not the tray that I need, but the hold-down assy that goes on top of the battery, and holds it in place. It is a 2 piece unit with a removable access cover.
I'll give you a call.
Thanks, Jerry

I have a 1953 parts car. I will look tomorrow to see if it has the top hold down assembly. I am restoring a 53 Super 88 Hardtop but I put a Nova front clip in the car for an Olds 455 and will put the battery in the trunk. Post some pics of your car John

I think 53 was the first year for a/c in those cars and it was a hang down thing under the dash-----I had one like that anyway----there are a couple of 53s in the woods near here so if you don't find your battery thing I will take a look.
