im looking for a 330/ 403 or 350 in decent running shape my current engine spun a bearing and im looking for something that i can just drive with for the summer. looking withing the local tri state are unless you can delivier i will pay. im located in 60123 illinois. looking to spend under 500 based on condition of the engine . inspection will include pulling the heads and intake off . I am not looking for a core looking for something somewhat road worthy.

I put out a couple feelers last night - no responces, yet.

 

just need it to last a few months till i get the new short block done., the machine shop is dragging and i might take it to another machine shop soon if nothing gets done in the next week.

built rite engine rebuilders, im might take it to r&r if all else fails rocket racing.

Try Ted at Opel Engineering - off Barrington Rd. in Streamwood - worked with him in the '70's, and never heard anything bad, since!

 

I'm right next to streamwood. I know john gets backed it took 2 months to get my cylinder heads when he did them. I would go through opel but my friend had an engine done by opel and when he took it apart when the crank let go there was a loose nut in the pan. The stuff is just getting machined I'm building it I can't afford to have it built .

Haha, right, I'm in the same boat. I have a complete motor...meant for 6500RPM. I'm in Rockford so that might help...it's in a car, never been started..PM me if ya wanna chat about it...

I still have the 72 350 that I removed last July.I did run it up on the highway from exit to exit,but again,that was a year ago.It is all stock,with the exception of the 73-up 4bbl intake that someone installed.I'll ship anything.

 

What would you want where are you located and how much would shipping be to 60172 which is where my dad's shop is. I'm really trying to find a 70 and older but if nothing happens I'llstay in touch . I won't be able to do anything here for a bit. I'm thinking minumum 3 weeks . Are you going to norwalk I'm not going this year but all the guys I know will that could work better.

check quad cities craigslist there was one on there a couple days ago I got the number if you want it its out of a 73 cutlass and trans is included for 550 or best offer

 

thanks for keeping an eye out for me. I think at this point im just going to wait till i finish the short block thats at the machine shop. Instead of spending 500 on an engine that will just run i'll invest it in a nice roller cam. Unless the right offer comes along.

im bumping this again. Im even considering a dumpy little 307 . Im looking in the tri state area for me near chicago. Any help is appreciatedfinding a running engine has been harder than i thought.

 

Came out of my 68,ran fine .i replaced it with a 455.i live close to quincy,ill. Will take350 for it.call 573 822 4304 my name is brent.

Are u sure? mine is a good running olds 350, might deliver halfway say somewhere on 55 between springfield and bloominton.
