55 s-88

I need the piece that goes around the bottom of the front seat. I have exposed metal pieces that leave bruises when getting in and out of the car. Also, I need a grille. Anyone??

Those seat skirts are tough to come by because they all break - I might have one that needs some repair (I've repaired them in the past with fiberglass & resin with decent success) - grilles are around - '55 only as you probably know. You can get the "OLDSMOBILE" letters from Fusick. I bought a decent grille on ebay about 6 months ago - just need to keep your eyes peeled. If you have a real hard time finding one, PM me and I may be able to help. I'll check on the seat skirt tonight.

If you had one, even in need of repair, I'd buy it from you! Those metal pieces are dangerous! Plus, it would look nicer. I have been searching for the grille....if you do happen to see one, let me know. I saw the letters at Fusick, but no grille.

I have the grill for a 1955. It needs to be re-chromed because a previous owner painted it silver. I don't have the brackets that hold it in place either. If you are interested let me know.

I noticed the pics on your blog, that you have a different grill in your '55. I believe the one that is in your car right now to be a grill from a DeSoto. I had a DeSoto for a while. If you had a better pic of it I could tell you if it is or not.

If it is a grill from a DeSoto, you can recoup much of your money as those are a highly sought after grill. The Merc owners love them when they are customizing their cars. In-fact, many people think they are Merc grills because they see them on Mercs more than they see DeSotos.

It is a DeSoto grill. I would prefer the Olds one though myself.

Yea, then once you can find an original one for the '55. Turn around and sell the DeSoto grill!

You're looks like either a 54 or 55. Look at what this guy is selling them for...

Whoa! Awesome! I will definitely do that. I want to get white walls too and have been offered some good deals for the tires I have on currently.

Grill

Sorry for the delay, but this is the grill I have. As mentioned, it was painted silver over the chrome, but the letters are in good shape. You would still need the brackets to hold it in place which I do not have.
