Be aware that for 1968-1976, all Olds motors (260, 350, 400, 455) use the same brackets. Of course, A/C and non-A/C are different for the alternator and A/C compressor. The PS pump brackets are the same for both.

Joe,

Does that mean my 350ci brackets will interchange. I thought I needed different brackets because the big block deck height was higher in the the 455?

Yes they will. Bolt right up, just gonna need longer belts.

Well. Thanks for the 411. I would have had some exra brackets otherwise.

Thanks again!

The brackets that are affected by the deck height differences have two sets of holes. For example, the non-A/C alternator bracket has two holes for attaching the strut that goes to the block. The lower hole is used for the BBO, the upper hole for the SBO. If you have the mid-1970s alternator bracket for A/C (driver's side) that also bolts to the PS pump bracket, there is a spacer that goes between the alternator bracket and the pump bracket. The earlier brackets are a different design and don't connect, so there's no spacer required on those. The A/C compressor bracket uses a strut that runs from the compressor to the block. Like the non-A/C alternator bracket, there are two sets of holes, one for SBO, one for BBO.
