Patience...It took me two years to find the same carb with tag on Ebay...If you can find a carb without the tag you can buy new tags on Ebay. They just started selling them recently stamped as you like...

I hear ya Scotty, you see anything up there in the northland let me know. I've actually got a GC-4 from a 65 starfire. Think the tag is 7025252. I will likely use it until I find the right one. Let me know if you bump into a tag or the right one.

Can you explain what the tags are and why they are important?

If you DO find the carb you're lookinf for, please keep me in mind, as I can always use an "extra" 65 S/F carb.

As for why the tags are important, obviously its not an issue of functionality, just wanting the car to look more "correct". I sold an orginal center a carb tag from a tri-carb setup a few years back for $100, shipped it out in a ring box from a jewelry store as a gag. Guy apparently wanted if because it had the date code he was looking for.

As I mentioned earlier, they are reproducing the carb tags now. I ordered one to see how it compares to my beat up original. If it looks good I will get it anodized and use it.http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-65-ROCHESTE...item3a629354c5
